Globe Life Park, Ranger’s Old BallPark Seeking New Tenants for Office and Retail Uses

ARLINGTON (WBAP/KLIF)- A commercial real estate company is finding new purposes for the old Rangers Ballpark, Globe Life Park.

Trenton Price, Director of Vision Commercial Real Estate says they’re looking to fill a 4-story office tower inside the ballpark with traditional office users like medical, law firms, architecture and engineering.

They’re also looking to fill spaces in the first floor, facing the street, with child care services, retail, restaurants, and fitness apparel/ studios to fit that sports centric environment. “We are open to to other users so if they are interested they can certainly talk to us but those are the types of businesses we are targeting,” Price said. “The cool part is that we go the XFL that is going to start their season there in February, the FC Dallas Minor League Team that will be playing on that field as well so tenants will be there as these activities are going on,” he said.

Price said having tenants inside a ballpark is very unique and has attracted a lot of interest. “It is a one of a kind, you still get the same beautiful aethstetics from the stadium’s original development back in 1994, we aren’t changing the outer facade but on the inside we are going to give it new life and make it transition with beautiful views and lots of open air space,” he said.

Across the street will be the new mixed-use development plan with residential, hotels, shopping and entertainment. He says with this, Texas Live!, the sports stadiums, hotels and the new mixed use development opening all in the entertainment district, Arlington is booming with opportunities. “All those are major traffic generators that don’t just create sales tax and revenue to Arlington but it also puts a lot of eyes onto the city and that’s a reason why a lot more people are moving to the area,” Price said. “It’s a big deal,” he said.
