DALLAS – WBAP/KLIF – The Chief Executive Officer of ExxonMobil presented a $50,000 check to Dallas CitySquare today; a group that fights poverty and homelessness. CitySquare was formed in 1988 and now helps more than 50,000 individuals every year with housing assistance, health care, legal aid, access to a food pantry, and financial coaching.
ExxonMobil’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Darren Woods presented the check to CitySquare in Dallas on Friday. The ExxonMobil cash gift marks the 14th annual ExxonMobil Chairman’s Holiday Gift, benefiting and highlighting a deserving non profit group in North Texas.
CitySquare is the largest public housing provider in North Texas, providing more than 700 housing units in Dallas. It operates a child nutrition program, offering free meals to children after school and during the summer. It’s clinic provides medical services for uninsured children and adults. CitySquare offers pre-employment training programs and legal services to help individuals build financial stability, with the goal of breaking the cycle of poverty.
