
UPDATE 11/6/2019 4 P.M. LAVON (WBAP/KLIF) – The Lavon Police Department released the names of the four Community ISD students killed in a crash Tuesday night on SH 78.
From Lavon PD:
“With the permission of the families, we are releasing the names of the victims:”
Andrew Miller 17 years old
Jordan Kidd 17 years old
Marilynn Dominguez 16 years old
Secily Lackey 16 years old
“We ask that you respect the privacy of the families as they grieve the loss of their loved ones,” said Lavon Police Chief Michael Jones. “The Cities of Lavon and Nevada, as well as the surrounding communities share in the grief of this tragic loss of four young lives.”
Chief Jones said the investigation into the cause of the accident will be a long process.
Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with the families and all those impacted by this tragedy,” Jones said.
Lavon, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – Four Community ISD students were killed last evening when the truck they were riding in crash head-on into a van on State Highway 78 near business 78.

The truck reportedly hydroplaned according to witnesses. Police say the roads were wet and slick at the time.
Community ISD issued the following statement:
Tonight we were devastated to learn of a tragic car accident involving multiple students from CISD. Our thoughts & prayers are with these families & the entire Brave Nation as we grieve together. Counselors will be available to support students & staff first thing in the morning.
