Alleged Armed Robbery Suspect Who Left Elderly Victim in Burning Home Still At-Large

Kaufman County, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – Authorities in Kaufman County are looking for a woman who left a victim in a burning house during an alleged armed robbery

The sheriff’s department says the incident left the 78-year old victim with serious injuries, according to Inforney.com.

After being stabilized at Parkland Hospital, she reportedly told deputies that she answered her door to find the female suspect pointing a gun; pushing her way in, and tying her to a chair while rummaging through the house.

The victim also says the suspect set a fire in the kitchen before leaving.

Good Samaritans and a firefighter got woman out of her house in the 4500 block of F-M 148 in rural Kaufman County.

The suspect is described as a heavy-set woman with strawberry hair who was wearing a black hoodie and gold-rimmed glasses.
