Carrollton (WBAP/KLIF) – Carrollton Police shot and killed a man Saturday night while checking on his welfare. They were called to a Racetrac service station to check a man with a gun who was slumped over in a parked vehicle. At first they had no luck getting his attention, then as officers were trying to rouse him to see if he was OK he suddenly snapped awake, and attacked them. During the struggle shots were fired, and he was mortally wounded. Carrollton Police have called in the FBI to assist them with their investigation.
