McAllen (WBAP/KLIF) – A former south Texas judge is going to prison for taking bribes, and obstructing justice. Rodolfo “Rudy” Delgado has been sentenced to five years for demanding payoffs in exchange for favorable rulings while he was a state district court judge in Hidalgo County. Last November Delgado was elected to the 13th Texas Court of Appeals, but now that he’s a prison inmate he’s been forced to resign from that position.
