Southlake (WBAP/KLIF) – A piece of an engine cowling broke off a private plane while it was in flight over Southlake Friday afternoon. It crashed down on Continental Boulevard, near the Timarron Country Club during the afternoon rush hour. No one on the ground was hit. The plane managed to land safely at Fort Worth’s Meacham Airport.
