MCKINNEY (WBAP/KLIF) – The McKinney Police Department has released a sketch of a man believed to be responsible for grabbing multiple women recent weeks in the city.
The department has opened an “Unlawful Restraint” investigation.
According to McKinney PD, Around 9:45 p.m. on August 10, a woman was approached from behind and restrained briefly by a man while she walked her dogs in her neighborhood, in the area of Eldorado and Country Club. She ran to a nearby home and the suspect left. He is described as Hispanic, in his early 20s, 6’-6’3”, short dark hair, last seen wearing a T-Shirt and Khaki shorts.
Then on Sunday, Aug. 11, another woman reported she had taken her dog for a walk in her neighborhood just north of the prior evening’s incident, from around 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and that she noticed a male jogger two different times; once as he ran past her and again when he walked in her direction. She took note of him and was trying to avoid him. Police say that as the woman arrived home, that same male grabbed her from behind, kissed her on the back of the neck, and tried to pull her away from her front door. She resisted and the suspect left on foot. He is described as possibly mixed race, in his 20s, around 6’2”, with an average build, dark hair in a buzz cut, dark eyes, last seen wearing a T-Shirt and dark shorts.
The department is encouraging residents to be aware of their surroundings. Anyone with information on the suspect is urged to call Police.
