Dallas-Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – Over ten years since TxDOT first implemented left-lane restrictions for big trucks, the agency is considering expanding them in an effort to improve safety.
In a press release, TxDOT cited traffic studies that show truck lane restrictions improve mobility, safety and air quality.”
If implemented truck lane restrictions would expand to all or portions of U-S 75 in Collin County; I-35E in Ellis, Dallas and Denton Counties; I-635; I-30 in Rockwall County, and several other locations.
