Shots Fired at Earle Cabell Federal Courthouse in Downtown Dallas; Suspect Dead

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – The FBI has identified the shooting suspect as 22-year-old Brian Isaack Clyde. Police said Clyde allegedly exchanged gunfire with federal officers and was shot. He later died of his injuries.

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas Police say there was an exchange of gunfire between a suspect and federal officers at the Earle Cabell Federal Courthouse in downtown Dallas.

Police say the suspect was shot and transported to an area hospital. No officers or other citizens injured.

The shooting broke out shortly before 9AM when an armed man reportedly ran from behind a nearby McDonalds.

Witnesses say they heard up to 10 gunshots.

Out of an abundance of caution, authorities have detonated the trunk of the suspect’s car, in search of explosives.

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – A mass police presence to include SWAT officers armed with rifles are on the scene of reported shots fired at the Earle Cabell Federal Courthouse in downtown Dallas.

A witness tells WBAP/KLIF’s Clayton Neville that he saw the shooter just before 9am run from behind a McDonalds (right) near Main and Griffin … there were several shots fired and people started running.

Dallas police are still searching the area and searching the courthouse for possible bombs.

One person is in custody. No one was injured.
