8 Confirmed Tornadoes Hit North Texas This Week

​North Texas (WBAP/KLIF) – The confirmed number of tornadoes to hit North Texas during Wednesday’s storms is now up to eight.
Linda Myers lives in Van Zandt and drove to her son’s house for safety during one of two EF-2 tornadoes in the area– she tells WFAA-TV when she came outside, her car was crushed.  She said that a palm tree laying across it.
The EF-2’s with up to 130 mile per hour winds were in Van Zandt and Kaufman counties.
Van Zandt saw two additional EF-1’s. There was also an EF-1 in Tarrant County.
The Storm Prediction Center says that In the past 30 days, there have been more than 500 preliminary reports of tornadoes.
