Politics are in full bloom this weekend in north Texas

Dallas – Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – This is a busy weekend for politics in north Texas. Not only is Saturday election day in cities and school districts across this part of the state, but several of the national political campaigns are here. Presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg came to Dallas to give the keynote address Friday night at the Dallas County Democratic Party’s Johnson Jordan dinner. Beto O’Rourke made a couple of campaign appearances in Fort Worth Friday, and delivers the commencement address Saturday at Paul Quinn College. Former San Antonio Mayor and former Housing Secretary Julian Castro is leading Saturday’s get-out-the-vote rally in Fort Worth, and New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand appears at a Democratic Party fundraiser at the Granada Theater in Dallas on Sunday.
