Wimberley (WBAP/KLIF) – Some very adaptable wranglers caught a kangaroo Saturday near the town of Wimberley. They had been looking for the animal, named Harry, for about a week. Ever since he simply hopped out of his enclosure at an exotic animal park near Austin, and went exploring. Harry was seen a number of times over that week in a number of different subdivisions peacefully eating grass and flowers. Saturday a Hays County deputy and an employee of the animal park managed to hit him with a tranquilizer dart. They picked him up when he got too woozy to run, or hop, away from them. Harry is now back at the animal park, and it is re-evaluating what it takes to make an escape proof kangaroo enclosure.
