Dallas murder suspect in custody in Louisiana

Bossier, LA (WBAP/KLIF) – A wanted Dallas murder suspect has been arrested in Louisiana. Demetrius Thompson was arrested at his home in Minden, Louisiana a few days after a capital murder warrant was returned against him in Dallas. Thompson is believed to have killed Eric Moore in late May, 2018 during a night of drinking and drug use. He then allegedly set fire to Moore’s apartment to cover what he’d done, and drove away in Moore’s car. Thompson has a long criminal history in north Texas including charges and convictions of theft, robbery, and illegal use of firearms. He’s now in the Bossier Parish jail awaiting prosecution on a Louisiana robbery charge.
