Mesquite (WBAP/KLIF) – The National Weather Service confirms an EF-0 tornado spawned by Saturday morning’s series of fast moving thunderstorms damaged a Mesquite neighborhood. The twister came down along Allen Drive near the intersection of Interstate 635 and Bruton Road. It damaged several homes and a church, and hurled debris through the Chamberlain neighborhood until it lifted back into the clouds. There were no reported injuries. It was the first tornado confirmed in Dallas County since February, 2018.
