Washington (WBAP/KLIF) – A new bill introduced in the U.S. Senate would authorize the U.S. Treasury to produce a run of $1 coins this year (2019) honoring former President George H.W. Bush, and his wife, Barbara. The Bushes both died last year (2018). They were residents of both Texas and Maine, and the coinage legislation was sponsored by all four of Texas’ and Maine’s Senators.
