Denton (WBAP/KLIF) – The University of North Texas Police are defending themselves against allegations of misconduct that grew out of a video that’s gone viral on social media. That video shows a man shaking in a police car with an officer leaning over him. He can be heard complaining that police were choking him. UNT Police have released 39 minutes of their own video showing the encounter with the accused thief from beginning to end. They say the choking complaint had no merit. They were trying to prevent the suspect from biting them, and the shaking was an obvious attempt to mimic the symptoms of a seizure.
