The largest immigrant teen tent city in Texas appears to be closing

Tornillo (WBAP/KLIF) – Texas congressman Beto O’Rourke paid a surprise visit to the immigrant teen tent city in Tornillo Sunday, and came out saying it appears to be shutting down. O’Rourke says the tent city’s administrators told him they are no longer accepting new children, and they have 300 ready to leave as soon as transportation is arranged. At least one full busload of teens left Tornillo Sunday morning. O’Rourke says if that continues the Tornillo facility will be closed by mid-January. As yet there has been no official confirmation from the Trump administration.
