El Paso (WBAP/KLIF) – Reports in El Paso say dozens of would-be immigrants who have been held in federal custody by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) were dropped off Sunday night at the Greyhound bus terminal in downtown El Paso. It is not clear who dropped them off. A number of the immigrants told El Paso reporters they had eaten nothing for at least a day, they had no money, and they weren’t sure why they were at the bus terminal. Reporters who tried to reach ICE were told the agency’s representatives had been furloughed because of the government shutdown, and no one would be available.
