FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF) – A Tarrant County Judge is considering a request to move the trial for the mother of the so-called ‘affluenza teen’ to another county.
The defense argued during a hearing Tuesday in Fort Worth that media coverage of Tonya Couch and her son Ethan’s cases could cause a jury to be prejudice.
“There’s no doubt in my mind that Tonya Couch would be convicted in Tarrant County,” said a defense witness who took the stand. 
The state argued that the media was simply reporting the facts.
Tonya Couch faces money laundering and hindering apprehension charges after she took her son to Mexico when he was on probation for a deadly drunk driving crash.
