Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – Republicans will go back to the drawing board over the next couple of years to try and figure out how to prevent a traditionally red county from voting Democrat.
Beto O’Rourke out-did Ted Cruz on Tuesday in Tarrant County by about four thousand votes.
Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price says she think the hotly contested U.S. senate race against Ted Cruz was a ‘one off‘ since the voters went red for all other candidates. She says that Republicans will need to pay attention to the “Why?,” but adds, the solution is simple.
“We tend to be more in the middle, more moderate, and I think that’s probably a good thing for people to begin to talk about …hey let’s talk about where people are being reasonable and let’s talk about education and jobs and and move it forward.”
She says Republicans should look at how O’Rourke won and deliver good candidates who can work with everyone.
