Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – After two decades of argument and discussion the Dallas City Council has finally decided what’s to be done with Fair Park. It unanimously approved 20 year deal turning over maintenance and operation of the entire site to Fair Park First, a new non-profit. In turn Fair Park First is turning over management of the day-to-day operations to a for-profit partner, Philadelphia-based hospitality company Spectra. Their newly formed venture will take over pair park in 45 days. To make it work the city will pay Fair Park First $34.5 million over the first 10 years of the twenty year agreement.
