FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF) – The Trinity Park will undergo renovations this month to transform into a “dream park”. The Dream Park Organization raised $3 million to create this 21,000 sq. foot universal playground to accommodate user disabilities. Fort Worth Park and Recreation District Superintendent Scott Penn said this playground is user friendly for children with all types of disabilities including mobility, hearing and learning. Penn said some features include rubber surfaces, audible components and musical games. “It’s a playground to where children of all walks of life, abilities can play together,” Penn said.
The park is set for completion in April 2019. Existing equipment will be re-purposed for an additional playground near the Phillis Tilley Pedestrian Bridge.
