Garland (WBAP/KLIF News) – Garland Police are working an officer involved shooting on the shoulder at the I-30 and Bass Pro Drive exit.
Lieutenant Pedro Barineau says no officers were injured in the shooting. He said calls came in reporting a man waving two machete’s at passing cars near the Interstate 30 Service Road and Bass Pro Drive.
Staff at a nearby massage spa saw the incident. They said a man was cutting the building with a machete when they called the Police.
After a confrontation with police, shots were fired and the man was killed. No officers were hurt.
