North Texans Honor Memorial Day at DFW National Cemetery

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – The DFW National Cemetery was home to a Memorial Day celebration Monday morning that brought hundreds of people out to honor service men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for this country.
“It’s very impressive,” said a veteran of 23 years who lives in the metroplex. “I’ve seen it when its packed all the way around. It should be even more crowded, but there’s a lot of people who come out and it’s worth it.”

The Waxahachie High School Band’s wind ensemble performed at the event and several active military members spoke during the ceremony. The cemetery grounds were packed with people visiting tombstones and remembering the sacrifices made by all died fighting for the country.
