Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) Dallas Mavericks Forward Dirk Nowitzki says he’ll be back on the court for at least one more season. He made the announcement Tuesday. It’ll be his 21st year playing with the same team, a record in the NBA. Nowitzki had surgery on his left ankle last week in the hopes he’ll be healed in time for training camp in the fall. He’s currently in a walking boot and hopes to be in rehab in the next three to four weeks. Last summer, the 39 year old signed a two year contract with the Mavs. Nowitski says he’s looking forward to the upcoming draft to see what talent the franchise picks up in the off season.
