‘Don’t Drive Intexticated!’ – AAA Nationwide Campaign

(WBAP/KLIF) – “Don’t Drive Intoxicated – Don’t Drive Intexticated” is the new theme for the nationwide campaign by AAA. Daniel Armbruster is with AAA Texas/New Mexico and says the name is supposed to catch the communities attention to keep the conversation going: “That is the goal…this was created to make distracted driving socially unacceptable. It targets drivers who would never consider drinking a beer behind the wheel yet they regularly engage with their cell phone, of course taking their eyes off the road which we know can be very dangerous and be deadly.” AAA will be promoting the campaign using public service announcements, social media, during special events and at the AAA branches along with the AAA member magazine. Armbruster says that AAA is always working within the community and are happy to come to a community near you: “We are always looking for opportunities to increase our educational outreach. If there are schools or communities centers, etc that would like AAA to come visit and talk with – that is something we are really focused on, we are happy to do that! We want to make sure were educating all of the community on how to be as safe as possible when it comes to traffic safety.”
