NORTH TEXAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – It was two years ago today that an outbreak of tornadoes claimed the lives of 11 people in North Texas.
On December 26,2015, an E.F. 4 twister ripped through Garland and Rowlett. Other tornadoes were reported to the North and South.
The Basehunter Storm Chasers captured a video driving East on Interstate 30 and could be heard musing at the size and scope of the tornadoes.
“Oh, it’s a big tornado. Big, big, strong tornado. There it goes!”
Numerous homes and neighborhoods were devastated by the storms.
Two years later, city officials in Rowlett said that people are still in the process of recovery but the city has started to bounce back from that fateful day.
