FRISCO(WBAP/KLIF)- Rapidly growing Frisco in Collin County may say goodbye to a reminder of its past.
The water storage tank located on Preston Road and Gary Burns Drive has been around since the 1960’s but is slated for demolition in the next 30 days.
Frisco Mayor Jeff Cheney says taking down the tower will help enhance the Preston Road corridor. The city has already removed a billboard and business from the heavily traveled area in old Frisco.
Even with redevelopment for the intersection on the table, the Mayor says the city may reconsider complete demolition if opposition becomes too vocal.
