Arlington (WBAP/KLIF News) – Arlington’s Christkindl market has opened outside Globe Life Park. The Christmas market stretches along Road to Six Flags with dozens of tents set up along the side.
“It’s like a family,” says Star Shrestha, the owner of Nepal Craft Traders, a company that makes clothing. “I feel a family environment in this place.”
Shrestha says her biggest events are the Texas and Oklahoma State Fairs.
Organizers say 100,000 people will attend Christkindl through December 23. The event started in 2011.
“Most people are out with their families and kids, just celebrating the holiday and having fun,” says Linda Chrysler, who makes local jewelry.
Chrysler says Christkindl is her biggest show because of its length. She started three years ago.
“We do a lot of shows in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, so we know a lot of the vendors,” she says. “They’ve added the Peppermint Park and toboggan run, so the parents can shop and the kids can go play.”
