Ft. Worth (WBAP/KLIF News) – A Ft. Worth Police Captain faces a charge of intoxication arrest after an early morning crash on Highway 121. Sergeant Craig Teague with the Hurst Police Department says Daniel Humphries was driving an SUV belonging to the Ft. Worth police.
“The Tahoe was entering the roadway from the shoulder at the time of the accident,” said Teague. “The driver of the sedan was trapped inside the vehicle, and had to be extricated.”
That driver is was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital in Ft. Worth, and is said to be recovering. Fort Worth PD internal affairs is investigating.
Humphries has been put on restricted duty during the investigation, and is scheduled to be arraigned tomorrow.
