DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) The city of Dallas will be cleaning up a century-old historical home, if officials can’t find the owner. Preservation Dallas recently listed the home on Reiger Avenue, referred to as the “Bianchi House,” as one of its most endangered historic properties. It was originally owned by Italian sculptor Didaco Bianchi and wife Ida. Code compliance officers cleaned up the yard yesterday, according to the Dallas Morning News, and threw out items left by squatters. City attorneys are trying to locate owner Rick Leggio, a former city planning commissioner, to ask him to come maintain the home. It’s believed he may now live out of state. Few people have seen Leggio since a fire ripped through the house 3 years ago. Records show he’s still paying taxes on it, and the city plans to ask him to maintain it. It’s estimated to be worth nearly a quarter million dollars.
