FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF News) – More than 5,000 shirts supporting an injured Fort Worth police officer were sold on Monday.
Chick-Fil-A restaurants across Tarrant County took part in the benefit for Officer Matt Pearce.
He was critically injured earlier this month in a shootout with a wanted fugitive and his son. Pearce remains in the hospital.
The shirts were $10 each. The restaurants also gave 20% of their profits.
You can still order shirts online at ftwmetro.org/fwpd-teampearce-fundraiser/. Orders will be accepted until Friday, April 1st.
