Injured Officer Goes Back Into Surgery

FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF) – A setback for a Fort Worth police officer.

According to a post on “Facebook” the wife of patrolman Matt Pearce said her husband had an abdominal incision break open Tuesday during a coughing fit. He had to go back into surgery to have it repaired.

Pearce remains in critical condition at John Peter Smith hospital after a shootout with a father and son in a wooded area of west Fort Worth on March 15th.

Ed McIver senior was shot and killed by other officers. His son was captured, and is in jail facing an attempted capital murder charge.
