So, I’ve moved six times in my life and I can safely say that I hate to move. I don’t know anyone that enjoys it, but I’m a terrible mover. I can never get everything packed into several boxes and move it all in one or two trips. I am always packing loose junk into my car and then wondering where it all came from when I get to the new house/apartment.
I just moved into a new apartment and there is stuff everywhere! I have junk in bags, stacked up on the floor, on the coffee table and I really don’t remember owning a lot of this stuff. When the movers came to get my stuff I had a set amount of stuff they would move and then the rest I would pack myself. I should’ve just let them take everything. My life would’ve been a lot less stressful if I had.
Also, moving into a new apartment has new stresses all on its own. The person that lived in the unit before me apparently lived there so long, ceiling fans were never installed and I had to bug maintenance to put them in. The old tenant also never had internet in the apartment because no local company can install service until new lines are run into the unit.
It’s amazing the amount of stuff one person can accumulate over the course of a few years. Goodwill and the Salvation Army will be getting a lot of donations from me. In the meantime, does anyone need a mini refrigerator?
