Is it the beginning of the end of civilization as we know it?? Could be!!! The makers of “Bubble Wrap” announced this past week it will start selling a new type of bubble wrap that can’t be “popped”. What???!!!!
Yes, you read correctly, it’s being called iBubble Wrap and it’s sold flat and airless, making it easier to store. Companies that use it will be supplied with a custom pump to add the air. But, once the air is added, you still won’t be able to pop the bubbles, because the air bubbles will be filled in columns. If you press a column, the air just shifts and you’ll not longer get the satisfaction of the “Pop!”. How will people get out their frustrations????!!! Doesn’t the company know how much people depend on “Bubble Wrap”???
North Carolina based Sealed Air, which makes Bubble Wrap, says it will still make the traditional Bubble Wrap we all know and love, but it may be harder to find.
So, think of this blog as a public service announcement. Now’s the time to stock up on Bubble Wrap, so you still get your cathartic “Pop” fix!
