UNT Offering Unisex Bathrooms
Denton (WBAP News) - The University of North Texas has announced that it will soon be offering something unique to students, faculty and visitors, unisex bathrooms.
The restrooms will be placed in the lobbies of nearly all of its dormitories, as well as in the dining rooms.
The facilities will be very similar to the so-called family bathrooms currently being used in Metroplex movie theaters and shopping malls.
The president of the Residence Hall Association says the private, single-stall unisex restrooms are designed to help transgender students feel more at ease on the Denton campus. He believes the move will help improve the sense of community at the school.
