Palin to campaign for Perry

Austin (WBAP) - Sarah Palin has committed to campaign for Governor Rick Perry during his run for re-election next year. Perry made the announcement in Conroe Wednesday.
Perry says he welcomes the endorsement. He says he became friends with Palin before she became a national figure.
When Palin announced she would resign as the governor of Alaska, she said she wanted to make progress across the country.
"I'm going to get out there and fight for people who will fight for what is right for our country: energy independence, national security and reigning in government," she said.
When Perry addressed the Conroe Lion's Club, he said he doesn't "think more government, more stimulus, is the answer."
Perry will likely face Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison in the republican primary next year.
He says if he wins re-election, he intends to serve his full four year term. Perry says he has "no desire to go to Washington D.C."
