MCKINNEY (WBAP/KLIF) – A Collin County jury sentenced 31 year old Jesus Mejia to 50 years in prison without parole for the sexual assault of a child under 6.
Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis says “This monster will now face the consequences of his despicable actions because this young, innocent victim found the courage to tell,”
Mejia assaulted the girl on several occasions before she was old enough to start kindergarten.
The victim told her parents about the abuse in 2017 when she was 10.
By law, anyone found guilty of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child under 6 years is not eligible for parole.
