DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF)- Testimony is underway for a high profile murder-for-hire trial in Dallas.

Brenda Delgado is accused of hiring hitman Kristopher Love to kill Kendra Hatcher four years ago at her Uptown apartment parking garage because she was dating Delgado’s ex boyfriend.

Crystal Cortes pleaded guilty to a lesser murder charge, a 35 year sentence if she testifies against Delgado.

Cortes said she helped Delgado plan ways to kill Hatcher. “We would talk about it almost everyday,” she said.

Cortes said some of the things they wanted to do was inject Hatcher with heroine another to inject her with sedative and another to shoot her. “We decided shooting her would be the fastest way to do it,” she said.

Cortes talked about the plan and what led up to the murder by parking across the street from Hatcher’s work and spying on her with binoculars to waiting at her apartment parking garage. “We would wait in visitor spot and wait for someone with a parking pass to enter the apartment and we go in,” she said.

Cortes also said she was going to be the one to shoot Hatcher but decided Love would be the better choice since she knew Dallas better.

Cortes was offered $500, Love was offered $500 and drugs.

Love Received the death penalty in October.

If convicted, Delgado faces life in prison.
