DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – A candidate in the Democratic primary for Dallas County district attorney has reportedly requested a recount following Tuesday’s primary elections.
As votes were tallied late Tuesday, Elizabeth Frizell had 516 less votes than Judge John Creuzot.
Dallas County Election Administrator Toni Pippins-Poole said that number could change.
“We do have over 1,000 mail ballots that still needed to be counted and could possibly add additional votes to that race,” she said.
Poole said Frizell is taking steps to ask for a recount.
“If they want a recount, they have to petition the Democratic Party county chair in order to request a recount. I understand that they have a petition,” she said.
The Democratic candidate will face off against incumbent Faith Johnson in November.
