Dallas (WBAP/KLIF)   Dr. Kevin Grisham, the Assistant Director of Research for the Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism told WBAP/KLIF he’s very concerned about copycat crimes to the one in Charlotteville, especially since similar rallies are planned nationwide. Research done by the California based center found a 6% increase in hate crimes in 25 cities nationwide. That’s the biggest increase since the early 2000’s. Grishman says the increase is the result of the huge political divide in the nation and economic fears. In Texas, Grisham says there was a large increase in hate crimes in San Antonio, but a decrease in Houston.
