DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) — Two new lanes have opened up on I-35E to help rush hour move a little quicker.
The TEXpress lanes will require a toll if you’re looking to get around a typically backed up I-35E. Those prices will be fixed for six months depending on where you jump on, but after that they’ll be dynamic in pricing depending on how many people are using the lanes.
They’re open from 3:00am-11:00am going southbound from Swisher Road in Cortinth, stretching all the way down to around 635. In total, the stretch is about 18 miles.
Starting at 1:00pm, the TexPress lanes, which are reversible, flip to northbound lanes to assist with afternoon rush hour traffic. The lanes will be closed during the two-hour windows in between.
