DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – The search for a missing man continues in Dallas.

Authorities said a private security guard got swept away in rising water near Fitzhugh and Avondale.  The guard was a police officer at SMU, and was working an off-duty job.

Earlier today, Dallas Fire Rescue located and pulled a white Dodge Charger from Turtle Creek.  It was near the intersection of Turtle Creek Blvd and Stonebridge Drive, just a few hundred yards from where police believe the car and man were swept away in the flash flood.  Police said security video from the buildings he was guarding showed a white Dodge being swept away, but it appeared the man had jumped clear.

Dallas Fire Rescue is still looking for the man.  The Highland Park Department of Public Safety is in overall charge of the case.
