DALLAS COUNTY (WBAP/KLIF NEWS) – A Dallas County Judge is defying the Supreme Court ruling that legalized same-sex marriage.
In a post on his Facebook page, Mesquite Justice of the Peace Bill Metzger said because of his religious convictions he could only conduct marriage ceremonies between a man and a woman.
For support he cited a “non binding” opinion issued last June by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.
However, some other legal analysts say Metzger is on shaky ground.
